Have you heard that you can make money blogging? Well it is true, you can make money blogging but it’s going to take more then just setting up a blog and making a few posts. It is going to take some good content on your blog to get the visitors to come and to click on your links.
When you write randomly, it flows better, making it more enjoyable. This creates less “reaching for something to write about.” It’s easier to write when you have a specific topic you want to talk about than when you are writing on a schedule. Your blogs are more spontaneous.
blogging is a relatively new phenomenon that is truly undefined due to the fact that it is not yet what it will become. Currently weblogs teeter on the edges of interactive journalism vs. personal archiving and information sharing. Different bloggers have varying purposes and goals. Some aim to record their thoughts, some to share resources and information and some to tell stories. blogging has also been used as a tool for educating readers and for providing customer service and communications as well as serving as a tool for self-expression.
Bloggers help bloggers. As you leave comments on others’ blogs, and get known in the blogosphere, you can ask other bloggers to “guest blog” for you. Ask them to write just one entry, or to write five.
You can even repurpose words that are not in writing. If you speak or present seminars, you should be recording every presentation you give. That includes teleseminars, too. You may use excerpts from the recordings as podcasts (more blog content) or have the recordings transcribed, then edit them into blog posts.
So what kind of post do you want to create? Yes, there are different types of blog posts and yes I said “create” on purpose. From the technical side of things there are written posts, audio posts or even video posts. That makes a huge difference in your approach to creating the blog post. However, that’s not really the topic of this post. What I’m talking about when I ask what kind of blog post you want to create I’m more interested in the purpose of the post. Sharing is usually the greater purpose of a blog post, but that’s not really what I’m interested in either. No, my question is this: are you writing a blog post for traffic or out of pure inspiration?
A lot of entrepreneurs benefit from blogging by promoting their businesses on their blogs, with millions and millions of people logging onto the net everyday, blogging has become a lucrative move. Some bloggers who run online businesses promote their merchandise online. While others profit through advertisement.
Hopefully you consider going back to some of your previous posts and changing them up a bit to improve the quality of the posts. I know it is something I have definitely done myself and will continue doing in the future.
