There are many ways to get more blog traffic but some of them are more time-consuming than others. Today I will show you a few things you can do that are not time-consuming and can bring results fast. One of the easiest ways to get more blog traffic is applying some little tweaks to your blog and your blogging process. Applying some of these tweaks will ensure that search engines pick your blog every time you post. After all there really is no point in blogging if you no one is going to ever see it. Here are some simple things you need to consider if you want to get more blog traffic.
Look at the websites for major magazines that appeal to your target customer. Lots of them have blogs (which should be an obvious target for you) BUT many of these sites also list their favorite blogs. For example: Martha Stewart has a “Blogs I Like” section on her site. Shoot, if it’s good enough for Martha, it’s probably good enough for you.
Most successful blogs are usually those who concentrate on certain topics, niche or interest. This goes for the look and feel of your blog as well. Starting from the name of your blog to its theme and background, it should exude the interest that your blog offers. It would seem funny and confusing if let’s say your blog is about “rock and roll” and you have “ribbons and laces” as your blog theme. There are a lot of names and themes to help you with your blog. You just have to be creative in choosing what will work for you.
I have personally used them and highly recommend them. Avoid stuffing your blog with as many plugins as possible because they will eventually make your blog hard to navigate and make readers lose focus.
Also do not forget to link from your blog to some important pages of your own site containing valuable information. Like my website is quite anonymous and that’s certainly the case with the feeds involved. You don’t know who’s reading your post in a feed reader. When you have links in it pointing to your site that can boost your traffic!
Add pictures – eye candy. Also, a picture on the web IS worth a thousand words. If you’re selling a special kind of insert for the marathoner’s running shoes, a cross-section shows how that insert benefits the runner.
This will be now your springboard to invite them in your site. As you do, give them compelling offers to entice them. It could be free ebooks, short reports, or free downloads. More to the enticement that you inflict to them is you are starting to get their trust. With this, you build relationships. This will help you build your list!
