While you’re exercising, and driving to and from work, listen to your favorite music. One of my favorite songs is “It’s On,” from Boney James “Pure” CD. Very upbeat music with lots of saxophone, and serves as a huge energy booster and mood lifter for me! I’ll often play it after finishing a project. It’s a small but very positive reward.
During his 50 years of bringing music to the world, Ray Charles collected 12 Grammy Awards, 33 hit songs three of which went to number one, has received Lifetime Achievement Awards, Kennedy Center Honours, and is in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. The film medium should not slavishly follow another art form, the novel, but should it veer so far off course as this one? We know that Highsmith was not too happy with film interpretations of her work, but we wonder how she would have reacted to this. She died in 1995; this came out in 1999.

What I like about this album, is the easy listening factor, it never fails to put me in a good mood. As far as comedy scores go, I can see myself listening to this in the future, and not many comedy scores have that effect on me. Marc Shaiman has with The Bucket List risen to the top of comedy scores composers 2008, but that’s because I haven’t heard any other comedy scores yet. Let’s see what John Debney can do. All in all, a fun soundtrack and if you like comedy scores, you must love this.
