Profiles, Fan Pages, Business Timelines… can we ever be sure there isn’t another overhaul coming for our Facebook business profiles in the near future? Keeping up with all of the changes in social media has almost become a full time job so it’s no wonder many small businesses are throwing their hands in the air in frustration.
That shows just some of the social features of blogs, but at this time, the journal or diary aspect of a blog is no longer the only reason for people to start blogs. People who offer a service, large companies and small business are now creating their own blogs to inform people of their services and their products. Even more people are making money blogging about what interests them the most.
Find Business profiles blogs in a specific niche. For example, I do publicity consulting for a number of industries. But I’ve written guest posts for blogs that reach specific verticals – like medical, pets, bridal, and crafting communities. Even though these blogs don’t have a ‘big’ reach in numbers, the niche audience and content matched so well that I gained plenty of new fans.
Much has changed on Facebook in the last 7 years. In fact, 7 years ago Facebook was still not available to the public, you needed a college email address to join. In these early days I doubt if anyone knew the potential of Facebook in the business world. At the time many had created profile pages for their business, and that is exactly what happened with Guinto’s Helping Hands. Over the years a profile account can acquire many friends, so why should you throw away all of that hard work to start from scratch with a fan page?
Products that have affiliate programs get far more publicity. That is certainly correct of my internet marketing success blog, and it really is most likely true of other blogs. You are getting results – you just need to work backwards to find out what you are putting out there.
