After seeing Tiger struggle to stay anywhere close to the top of the field in a less than star studded event in Philadelphia I began to wonder if Tiger should not start looking for a new job. I came up with four occupations that I think he could succeed in.
Like physical networking, LinkedIn provides amazing opportunities if used properly. Joining groups and contributing content and answers to questions posted is a great way to position yourself as an expert. Growing your network, contacting leads, and updating your profile status is a great way to touch potential clients.
Or, another time, I was really procrastinating about writing a personal score post. I sat around for hours struggling with writer’s block. Then I was like “Ah, whatever, I’ll write the post in iambic pentameter.” (the kind of stuff Shakespeare wrote).
It may not be something that you do as part of your main workout obviously because of the expense it brings. That’s why the idea is to add it as part of the workout. Something to get out and change it up a bit. Get out of the walls at the gym or get away from your boring run that isn’t all so exciting.
While some people may question Tiger’s driving ability on and off the course, I would love to see him start a NASCAR team. He already broke the racial barrier in a rich, white, sophisticated sport. Why not break the racial barrier in a poor, white, unsophisticated sport (remember that I am a huge NASCAR fan)? I would root for this team.
